Pathology – Medical Director, Coagulation & Hemostasis Section

The USC Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine invites applicants for the faculty position of director of the Coagulation and Hemostasis Laboratory at Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital.

The successful applicant should be a board certified pathologist with expertise in the diagnosis and management of coagulopathies encountered in a tertiary/quaternary care environment. Applicants should have demonstrated ability to provide medical direction of the laboratory, implement new diagnostic tests, and interact with clinicians in a tertiary/quaternary medical center environment. Candidates must hold or be eligible for a California Medical license. Individuals with extramurally-funded research programs are encouraged to apply. The appointment is open rank in the tenure track or clinical professorial series.

The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine is staffed by 82 faculty who serve the educational, clinical, and research mission of the Keck School of Medicine. Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital are major facilities within the USC academic health system. The Department of Pathology & Lab Medicine provides all diagnostic services that support tertiary/quaternary inpatient services. Major clinical programs include those of the NCI-designated USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center (hematologic malignancies, urologic, breast, and colon cancer), transplant programs that include liver, heart and lung, and growing programs in neuro-oncology, women’s health, cardiology, immunology, and infectious diseases.
